JUNE 10 In a thrilling finish the Rochester Red Wings won in dramatic fashion coming back to beat the Brooklyn Dodgers by the count of 6 to 5. Rochester won the game with a rally in the 9th inning when they scored 4 runs on 2 hits. The highlight belonged to Bill Bruton who made the Rochester fans a happy lot when he banged out a single bringing in two baserunners. Rochester won despite being out-hit by Brooklyn 10 hits to 7. Bill Wight(8-1) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the win. The losing pitcher was Tommy Byrne(2-2) in relief. He allowed Rochester 4 runs in 2 innings of work. Mike Burdulis was all smiles after the ballgame, 'It sure was looking pretty dim there for a while, but our guys never gave up - and neither did our fans - they kept cheering us on. What a sweet win!'
