Ken Berry had 2 base hits and 3 RBI as the Chicago AL White Sox defeated the
Boston Red Sox by the score of 7 to 3 at Fenway Park.
Boston was unable to recover after Chicago AL went ahead in the top of the 6th
inning when they tallied 2 runs on 1 hit.  The big moment was provided by
Berry who helped quiet the crowd when he doubled plating two runs.  Chicago
AL rapped out 10 hits for the night. 
The win was credited to Jim O'Toole(3-1) who went 7 innings allowing 3 runs.
Gary Bell(5-2) ended up with the loss.  He pitched 7 and 1/3 innings and
surrendered 7 hits and 4 walks.

Jim Lonborg(3-2) and Bruce Howard(2-3) locked horns in a pitcher's duel with
Lonborg and the Boston Red Sox coming out on top of the Chicago AL White Sox
3 to 0.

Boston claimed the early lead in the first inning scoring a single run using 2
hits.  That was all the runs Lonborg needed.  The pitchers took over after
the 3rd inning as neither team was able to score again. 

John Wyatt was credited with his 7th save.

Tony Gonzalez had 3 base hits at Fenway Park as the Boston Red Sox beat the
Chicago AL White Sox 8 to 7.

Dave Giusti(4-1) was called upon to do the job and he was the winning pitcher.
He allowed 3 hits and 2 walks in 4 innings reducing his ERA from 2.84 to
2.57.  Chicago AL had a chance in the 9th but they came up short. 

Giusti was helped out by John Wyatt who recorded his 8th save.  Joel
Horlen(2-5) was charged with the loss.  He served up 3 gopher balls in 3 and
2/3 innings.

Gary Peters blanked Boston in a very well-pitched complete game at Fenway Park
where the Chicago AL White Sox beat the Boston Red Sox 5 to 0.

Peters(4-5) simply dominated Boston.  He gave up just 5 hits and 2 walks in 9
