Subject: Late 20th Century League call for owners
Hello Smiley owners,
The Late 20th Century League is looking for an owner
immediately and filling a waiting list if your not
ready for a team right away.
We have started our fourth season (1953). The team
that is available is the St. Louis Browns (soon to be
the Baltimore Orioles in 1954). Among the players they
have are Early Wynn, Harry Byrd, Gus Bell, George
Kell, Solly Hemus, Joe Collins, and Andy Pafko to name
a few. They are a pretty good team 1953 and do have
some potential for 1954 and beyond. We are a league
that uses a salary system with contracts. We have just
completed the 3rd quarter of the 1953 season and will
be playing at a pace of 4 seasons a calendar year. The
seasons run pretty quickly so anyone taking over will
not have to wait long for the 1954 draft in November.

The contracts link at the bottom of the 1953 page has
the current rosters of all teams. And the Constitution
is on the 1953 page. The constitution is there to be
downloaded and is in Microsoft Word format. If you do
want to read the constitution and do not have Word I
will gladly send you a copy upon request.
The schedule is at the bottom to see the tempo of the
league.
