April 20 Marv Breeding had 2 base hits as the Baltimore Orioles defeated the
New York AL Yankees 5 to 4 at Memorial Stadium. Baltimore came up with 3 runs in the 3rd inning when they had 4
base hits. The highlight belonged to Harry Chiti who electrified Memorial Stadium when he popped a two-run clout over the fence (his 1st of the season). Baltimore ended up with 12 hits for the game while New York AL had 5. Ray Sadecki(2-1) got the win allowing 3 runs in 6 innings. Sadecki
got help from Marty Kutyna who was credited with his 2nd save. Whitey Ford(3-1) was the losing pitcher. He was knocked around by Baltimore, allowing 10 hits and 3 walks in 7 innings. When questioned, Baltimore's manager remarked, 'It's been a while
since a win felt this good - heck, it's been a while since we had a win period!' [1]

utilizing 4 base hits. After an out was recorded, Jim Busby started the attack as he laced a single. One out later, Aparicio came up and he delivered a single. Jackie Brandt then smacked a single knocking in a run. Jim Gentile came up and he drew a walk to load the bases. Gus Triandos stepped into the box and laced a base-hit scoring the final run of the inning. For the game Baltimore out-hit New York AL 14 to 5. The win went to Steve Barber(2-1) who allowed 1 run in 7 innings.
Barber got help from Marty Kutyna who earned his 3rd save. Art Ditmar(2-1) was the losing pitcher. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 9 hits and 2 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings. [1]
