Bill Skowron had 2 base hits at Wrigley Field as the New York AL Yankees beat
the Chicago NL Cubs by the count of 6 to 2.

New York AL jumped on top to stay in the top of the 3rd inning when they
scored 2 runs on 2 hits.  Both teams finished the game with 9 hits.

Cal McLish(2-1) went 8 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Stan
Williams(5-3) was tagged with the loss.  The win by New York AL is a very
welcome one as they have been struggling in recent days.  Their record now

NL has a 4-6 record of late, 28-24 overall.
