GAME ONE
Don Drysdale tossed a complete game and third baseman Max Alvis left the yard
and had 3 RBI at Dodger Stadium as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the New York
NL Mets by the count of 5 to 3.
 
Drysdale(4-6) gave Los Angeles a solid outing.  He allowed 10 hits and no
walks in 9 innings.  Both teams finished the game with 10 hits.
 
Jack Fisher(1-8) suffered the loss.  With this win, Los Angeles has a 19-24
record.  They have been 4-6 lately.  With the loss, the New York NL
ballclub's record is 14-29, worst in the division.

Mike Cuellar pitched a complete game at Dodger Stadium as the Los Angeles
Dodgers beat the New York NL Mets in 11 innings 4 to 3.
 
The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings.  Los Angeles won the
game in the 11th inning.  Lou Johnson laced a base-hit.  Johnny Roseboro was
next and he lined a one-base hit.  Two outs later Willie Davis stepped in and
he hit a single giving Los Angeles the victory as 37,033 happy fans
celebrated wildly.  Los Angeles finished with 12 hits in the victory.

GAME THREE
One run was the difference at Dodger Stadium as the Los Angeles Dodgers
defeated the New York NL Mets in 10 innings 5 to 4.
 
The game was deadlocked at 4 after nine full innings.  Los Angeles won it in
the 10th inning.  Jim Lefebvre drew a walk.  Ron Fairly was next and he drew
a walk.  Max Alvis then reached on an error.  Lou Johnson dug into the
batters box next, but he struck out.  One out later, Bob Bailey stepped up to
the plate and he drew a walk giving Los Angeles the win and sending the home
town fans into a frenzy.  Los Angeles and New York NL each finished the night
with 8 hits. 
 
The victory was credited to Ron Perranoski(1-0) who went 1 inning, allowing no
runs. Bill Kelso(0-1) was the loser in relief.  He pitched 1 inning and
surrendered 1 hit and 4 walks.
 
Los Angeles continued their winning ways, with their streak now at 6 games and
counting. 'Everything seems to be going right for us' said Dave Jackson.
'Considering I don't know what the hell I'm doing!'

New York NL Mets beat the Los Angeles Dodgers by a score of 7 to 0.
 
Bunning(6-4) was tremendous on the mound for New York NL.  He allowed only 1
hit and 3 walks in 9 innings.  New York NL had a total of 9 hits for the
game. 
 
Claude Osteen(2-8) absorbed the loss.  He gave up only 6 hits and no walks in
8 innings.  The New York NL ballclub's record now stands at 15-31.  With the
loss, the Los Angeles ballclub's record is 21-25.
