Previous message                 Next message Message #: 615 Message from: Thomas Austad Sent: Nov 20, 2003 Subject: New 2004 SuperStar NetPlay League Sorry to those of you who got this more than once: With orders for the new cards just around the corner (DEC 19), it's time to start thinking about spring training! I will be starting an all NetPlay League using the latest version of Strat and 2003 player cards coming out in late January. Basic league structure: - 16 teams will be in the league; 2 drafts will occur each spring - The first draft is for teams. Worst record from the year before gets first pick (random selection this first year) - Second draft is of the players from the unused teams. Teams with the worst REAL LIFE record draft first (exmple: If you wanted the first round pick this year, take the Tigers!) - 110% usage limit for all players IP's/PA's. - Redraft each season. - Average of 2-3 NetPlay series each week per team. - 4 AL and 4 NL teams will make the playoffs, which is half of the teams in our league. This league is perfect for owners who want to try something new each season, as you are able to try a new team/strategy each year if you choose. I want guys who just like to play Strat and aren't going to bail if their team ends up in last by the All-Star break. It's for fun, man! The winnings, just the icing.
