Billy Klaus blasted a homerun and had 3 RBI as the New York AL Yankees
outscored the Baltimore Orioles 8 to 5.

New York AL had 3 runs cross the plate in the 6th inning.  The critical plate
appearance was by Norm Siebern who deflated the mood of the partisan fans
when he doubled clearing all three ducks off the pond.  New York AL totaled
10 on the night.

Ralph Terry(1-3) went 6 innings allowing 5 runs for the win. Jim Coates gained
credit for his 1st save.  Bob Shaw(1-3) was given the loss.  He allowed 9
hits and 4 walks in 6 innings.

April 30

Art Ditmar delivered 7 and one third solid innings as the NewYork AL Yankees
topped the Baltimore Orioles by a score of 5 to 0 at Memorial Stadium.

New York AL jumped on top of Baltimore in the 2nd inning scoring a single run.
After an out was recorded, Elston Howard delivered a solo blast (his 2nd of
the season).  That scoring would be all that was needed.  New York AL had
just 6 hits for the night.

Ditmar(4-1) was the winner allowing no runs in 7 and 1/3 innings. Herb
Score(0-2) was hit with the loss.  He struck out 8 batters in 5 innings
despite losing the game.
