April 27 Billy Klaus blasted a homerun and had 3 RBI as the New York AL Yankees outscored the Baltimore Orioles 8 to 5. New York AL had 3 runs cross the plate in the 6th inning. The critical plate appearance was by Norm Siebern who deflated the mood of the partisan fans when he doubled clearing all three ducks off the pond. New York AL totaled 10 on the night. Ralph Terry(1-3) went 6 innings allowing 5 runs for the win. Jim Coates gained credit for his 1st save. Bob Shaw(1-3) was given the loss. He allowed 9 hits and 4 walks in 6 innings.
