The Cincinnati fans didn't appreciate the big day Haney had. He smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 4th inning and lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his 5th of the season) in the 6th inning. Baltimore ended up with 12 hits for the game while Cincinnati had 7. Gene Brabender(3-2) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 6 innings. Dick Hall recorded his 8th save. Chris Short(5-4) absorbed the loss.
