Nice touch with the pictures - I'm sure the Padres owner dreams that last one might come true (Perry winning the Cy Young in '78 for San Diego), but we'll see; that event might require not only some good pitching but also a claim since Gaylord will be a free agent twice over by 1978.

San Diego brought 5 runs across the plate in the bottom of the 3rd inning with the help of 6 hits.  That early scoring was all that Perry(8-14) needed.  San Diego finished with 18 hits in the victory.  Bob Moose(13-6) was given the loss.  He allowed San Diego 7 runs in 4 innings of work.
