Duke Maas carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning and Bill Skowron hit 2
doubles and had 2 RBI as the very talented New York AL Yankees outscored the
Kansas City A's 6 to 0.

Maas(12-7) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He gave up just 2 hits and
2 walks in 7 innings lowering his ERA from 4.02 to 3.81.  The right-handed
Maas lost his no-hit bid when Don Blasingame singled with one out in the 6th
inning.  Kansas City was out-hit by New York AL, 11 hits to 2.

Jack Sanford(7-8) took the loss.  New York AL scored big getting 6 runs off
