Frank Malzone had 2 base hits as the Milwaukee Braves defeated the Brooklyn
Dodgers by a score of 4 to 3 at County Stadium.
Milwaukee did all of it's offensive work in the 4th inning when they tallied 4
runs on 3 hits. Brooklyn had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.
Glen Hobbie(5-12) went 8 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. Tom Gorman
recorded his 5th save. Sandy Koufax(5-7) was the loser. He gave up 4 runs
and 5 hits in 5 innings.

Russ Kemmerer came through with a solid 8 innings and Willie Mayshomered and
had 2 RBI as the Brooklyn Dodgers staged a dramatic comeback over the
Milwaukee Braves by a score of 2 to 1 at County Stadium.
Brooklyn came up with the deciding runs in the top of the 9th inning with 2
runs utilizing 3 base hits. Felipe Alou led off and started the rally when
he laced a single. Mays stepped up to the plate and he smashed a two-run
homer (his 21st of the season). The teams had been locked in a scoreless
duel until the 8th inning.
The victory went to Kemmerer(8-15) who went 8 innings, allowing 1 run.
Kemmerer got relief help from Humberto Robinson who gained credit for his 3rd
save. Robin Roberts(13-9) was hit with the loss. He pitched 8 and 1/3
innings and surrendered 7 hits and no walks.
