may 15 Bill Skowron left the yard and had 2 RBI at Comiskey Park as the New York AL Yankees beat the Chicago AL White Sox by the count of 5 to 3. New York AL jumped out to the early lead in the first inning as they scored 2 runs on 2 base hits. New York AL ended up with 10 hits for the game while Chicago AL had 7. Minoso then was walked intentionally to load the bases. Two outs later Fred Hatfield came to the plate and reached on an error giving Chicago AL the win much to the delight of the home town crowd. Chicago AL banged out 11 hits on the night. Mike Fornieles(2-2) got the win allowing no runs in 1 inning. Virgil Trucks(3-1) absorbed the loss in relief. It was a tough loss for him as he did not allow an earned run in his 4 innings of work.
