This series did NOT help out the Giants batting or pitching staffs!!!!

july 26

49,770 fans watched an exciting game at Candlestick Park.  The San Francisco
Giants put a halt to their 5 game losing streak and topped the Los Angeles
Dodgers by the slimmest of margins, 9 to 8.

The score was knotted at 6 after nine innings.  Finally, San Francisco pulled
the game out in the 12th inning.  Von Joshua smacked a single.  Jerry Davanon
next to the plate and he doubled giving San Francisco the win much to the
delight of the home town crowd.  This was the kind of game that many fans
love as the lead changed hands 5 times.

Randy Moffitt(3-4) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Dick
Drago(1-4) was the loser in relief.  He surrendered 3 hits and no walks in 1
and 1/3 innings.
