april 26 Dave Parker went deep and had 3 RBI as the Pittsburgh Pirates outscored the Los Angeles Dodgers 7 to 0. Parker enjoyed a fine evening at the plate. He rifled a three-run blast (his 4th of the season) in the 1st inning and tripled in the 7th inning. Pittsburgh finished with 11 hits while Los Angeles ended up with 8. The win was credited to John Candelaria(3-1) who went 6 innings allowing no runs. Burt Hooton(3-1) was hit with the loss. He gave up 8 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings.
